Music Can Help You Lose Weight

As reported by WebMD, a new study shows that people who listened to music while exercising lost more weight than those who exercised without music. Also, those who exercised with the music were more likely to stick with the exercise program and not drop out of the study.

I think there are 2 reasons for this phenomenon:

1. Cardio exercise is boring for most people. Listening to the music while exercising can ease the boredom and make the time go faster, making it easier to stick with the exercise.

2. Listening to the fast music makes you go faster. More intense exercise burns more calories.

So here’s another reason to get an iPod if you haven’t already :)
