Cravings are a natural part of our relationship to food. Researchers have discovered that we are all born having an innate taste for sugar and salt. As we develop physically and mentally, we also learn that fat makes food taste good as well. So it is possible that you crave for certain nutrients your body is deficient in. The first causer would be your own brain, which craves certain food items just because it remembers the good psychological effects those pieces had when consumed in the past. For instance, your family might have had the habit of serving dessert every night after dinner and now, when the dessert doesn’t appear after your evening meal, you crave for it. If you don’t satisfy your cravings, you feel stressed and a state of anxiety settles in. Sometimes, the cravings are so powerful they can make you give up on a diet that maybe does well to you. You should immediately turn to exercises! The stress that is felt when fighting cravings can be fought through meditation, a good way to induce a state of mind that is the exact opposite of that of anxiety. By exercising your mind, you can satisfy the hunger that food alone cannot fix. Right was the man who said that “meditation is food for your soul”. Sometimes, healing your soul is enough to satisfy your stomach as well. It is important to create a feeling of saturation, as the only time you’ll turn to food is when you are stressed, anxious or frustrated about something. Gain a positive attitude through meditation and you will be one step ahead all food cravings!

Take it easy: Most people who encounter weight loss troubles want to get rid of the extra pounds in any way and as soon as possible. But you shouldn’t forget that patience wears down ill fortune and you will get results when you act appropriately. Don’t be too strict in your efforts to lose weight. Sure, you have to be constant, but first you must feel comfortable with yourself and eliminate all negative thoughts from your way. Patience, awareness and clear thinking help you take the best decisions at the right time. Just remember that negative feelings always work against you and your goal of loosing weight.

A good state of your mind and health makes a great start in the fight against extra pounds. Induce yourself good feelings through meditation, make your body happy and comfortable through easy and pleasurable exercises, always relax and have a smile on your face and you will succeed in weight loss by forgetting food cravings. If you have anything your body wants when it comes to comfort, then it won’t feel the necessity for other things, especially food.
