Check Serving Sizes
In order to make their foods appear healthier, food manufacturers often use misleading serving sizes. They make the listed serving size unusually small.
For example, I’ve seen muffins where the serving size on a label was 1/4 of a muffin
And it was about 200 calories per serving! So the whole muffin packed a whopping 800 calories!
Come on, who’s going to eat only a quarter of a muffin - that’s ridiculous!
I’ve also seen tiny microwaveable individual pizzas where the serving size is 1/2 of a pizza. I think most of the ridiculous serving sizes that I’ve seen were on processed packaged foods - sure, no wonder they’ve got something to hide
Remember, the calories listed on the label are for 1 serving, not for the whole package.
