Healthy Eating On Autopilot
The longer you eat healthy, the easier it becomes. After a while, you will start making healthy choices automatically, without even thinking about it.
Also, many people find that when they start eating more fresh foods made from scratch, their palate evolves to dislike processed foods. Laura Moncur from Startling Fitness blog describes how it happened to her in great detail. In particular, how she started hating packaged frozen dinners, and I absolutely second that. There is something about frozen dinners that just makes me cringe… they all taste the same to me! They all have that “packaged frozen food” taste, whatever it is. I can’t believe that years ago I used to eat them every day for lunch!

Skipping Meals Is Not A Good Idea
Many dieters skip meals because they believe that they’ll end up eating less this way and lose weight. But most of the time, this trick doesn’t work. A common sense explanation is:
When you skip a meal, you get way too hungry.
When you are too hungry, you won’t be able to control yourself at the next meal. As a result, you’ll often end up eating more than 2 meals’ worth of calories.
Another scientific explanation why skipping meals can make you fatter, not skinnier is the fact that eating a huge meal creates a large insuline spike, so more fat gets deposited as a result.
Many studies have found that people who skip meals are much more likely to be obese than those who don’t. In particular, a study conducted by University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2003 found that people who skip breakfast altogether are 4.5 times more likely to be obese.

Drink More Water To Lose Weight
Yes, at least 8 glasses per day. Why?
I was looking for a scientific explanation, and what I found is:
- because when the body is dehydrated, it doesn’t work as efficiently and tends to hang on to fat

What Are Your Reasons For Eating?
Do you eat because you are hungry?
Or do you eat out of habit, stress or boredom?
Whatever you put in your mouth when you are NOT hungry ends up
as excess fat on your body!
Next time you are about to eat something, ask yourself:
are you really hungry or are you about to eat for the wrong reasons?

Don’t Deprive Yourself Of Treats
Don’t deprive yourself of the things you love to eat.
It’s OK to eat cake, cookies and ice cream, as long as you do it in moderation.
If you deprive yourself of the things you love, you will feel unhappy and quickly burn out and lose your motivationto lose weight.
1 or 2 pieces of cake a week will not make you fat. Don’t feel guilty - you CAN have your cake and eat it too, as long as you don’t go overboard.
