Weight Loss Success Story From Lori
“Melanie -
I have completed your 30-day plan and have lost 15 pounds!
I didn’t even exercise - I am a single parent, work at a day-care center 35 hours a week and have a 4-year old to take care of afterwards, which I guarantee you gives me plenty of exercise but little time left. I recently joined the YMCA in our town and it has child care two nights a week.
I found the recipes very good and easy to use. I feel so much better after having been on your plan (diet) for a month. The plan definitely makes it easier to stay with the healthful eating and the meals take little or no time to prepare. I especially like making double the quantity for two separate meals.
I will stay in touch and let you know how much more weight I lose - your plan makes it easy to stick with.
Thank you.”

Shop Around The Perimeter Of The Store
For healthiest foods, shop around the perimeter (the isles by the walls) of the grocery store.
If you picture the grocery store in your mind, you’ll see that as you go around, you see the produce section (fruits and vegetables), meat section and the dairy section - the fresh groceries.
As you go into the inner isles, you’ll get mostly processed foods, cans and jars, snacks, cookies and chips, etc.

Subway® Subs Are Not Always A Diet Food
After Jared’s weight loss publicity, many people think that all Subway® subs are diet food. Not so! Some of them are, and others aren’t. If you are on a diet, you really have to watch which sandwiches you get and what you put on them.
All “6 grams of fat or less” sandwiches include the bread, meat and veggies. That’s it! No cheese, no mayo and no oil. Basically, the “diet sandwich” is cheeseless and dry.
Most people always get cheese on their sandwiches. Those 2 tiny cheese pieces add 60 calories and 5 grams of fat.
1 tbsp of mayo would add another 110 calories and 12 grams of fat. Light mayo (1 tbsp) is 50 calories and 5 grams of fat). 1 tbsp of oil is 135 calories and 15 grams of fat.
Also, make sure you only get those “6 grams of fat or less” sandwiches, because some of the other ones are really caloric. For example, the 6-inch Meatball sub has 560 calories and 21 grams of fat - almost as much as McDonald’s BigMac (590 calories, 34 grams of fat). And the Tuna sub has 530 calories and 31 grams of fat - so much for the “healthy fish”
Basically, Subway®’s “6 grams of fat or less” choices are still pretty healthy compared to most other fast food restaurants, but don’t automatically assume that all their sandwiches are “diet foods”.

Weight Loss Success Story From Kathy And Her Husband
“Just wanted to drop you a email to let you know how things with the 30 day fullproof diet. My name is Kathy Gibson. I’m from Dover,TN.
I talked my husband into trying it with me. I’ve had problems with getting my husband into eating regular meals. The way he has always worked he would usually eat only one meal later in the evening and go to bed after shortly.
I’ve had problems with my weight for several years now that I’m older. I’m only 5′2″ so if I gain any weight it shows on me.
My husband did much better than me. He started out at 230 and has lost 19 lbs. His goal is to get back to 200lb. So as you can see he’s well on his way. He is doing well. Better than I ever expected.
The thing I think I liked most about the diet is when you don’t like the menu you can go to another day. It has really made a difference. I have only lost 8lbs. I started out at 170 and am down to 162. I have lost inches though and my clothes are fitting so much better.
I have more energy. It isn’t like so many other diets I have tried that leave you feeling hungry. I think we will both continue doing well. Thanks so much.”
Sincerely,
Kathy Gibson, Dover,TN

Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Eat 3 Hours Before Bedtime
Many times we hear the old advice: “don’t eat 3 hours before bedtime”. But why?
The answer is simple - when you don’t eat for the whole 3 hours before bed, you’ll end up eating less total food for the day.
Many people do most of their snacking in the evenings - munching on stuff while relaxing and watching TV. They come home from work and have all those snacks in the house that just beg to be eaten
There is nothing magical about “3 hours before bed” in terms of turning the food into fat. A calorie is a calorie no matter WHEN you eat it. Eating late will not make you fat. It’s eating A LOT that will. And limiting yourself during the last 3 hours of the day means you will eat less.

Mental Weight Loss Triggers
Think of the exact moment when something snapped in your brain and you decided to lose weight.
For some people, it’s seeing their “fat” picture. For others, it’s a certain number on the scale (for example, going from 100’s to 200’s lbs). Or not being able to fit in the seat. Or not being recognized by someone who haven’t seen you since your “skinny days”.
Whatever it is, each of us has our own “trigger moment”. That’s the moment when you realized: I am fat. And I am going to do something about it.
When your motivation is low, think back to that moment. It is your mental weight loss trigger that will set you back on track on your weight loss program.

Salads Can Make You Fat Too!
People think of salads as the ultimate diet food. Sure, salad is good for your health - the greens have lots of vitamins.
But does it make you lose weight? Not if it’s swimming in a fatty salad dressing!
When you go to a restaurant, ask for your dressing on the side to control how much goes in your salad.

Weight Loss Success Story From Jammie
“I have finally found a diet that I could live with!
When I started I have to admit I was thinking “Here goes another 30-some dollars” - - but this time it was worth it!
Yesterday was Day 31. My weight loss was not an astounding number, but it was a sufficient beginning for me. I lost 9 pounds and 11.75 inches.
I had a little setback at the beginning of week three with a stomach virus, so for about three days I was off the plan, but picked back up as soon as I felt “normal” again. That week I held steady with no gain or loss (which I was happy with).
The new clothes I just received for Christmas are already a size too big. Another 5 pounds and they’ll have to go!
This diet was great. My husband was even able to eat the dinner meals with me and enjoy them. I didn’t have to fix two separate meals.
I love the fact that you told me exactly how much to eat and what to eat. I don’t want to have to choose a vegetable, a protien, and a carb. After all, chocolate comes from a plant and that makes it a vegetable, right???

My physical activity is not up to 45 minutes a day, but I’m improving. I’ve been so inactive for so long, I’m only taking baby steps. I still have a ways to go, but I am very pleased with my start. Thanks again for such a wonderful plan.”
