The American Cancer Society in 1986 documented the fact that persons using artificial sweeteners gain more weight than those who avoid them.

This is because when the body encounters the artificial sweeteners, it cannot judge correctly when it’s full. As a result, cravings for food increase instead of decreasing, so you end up eating more.

So hold that diet coke!

The researchers in Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee found that laughing out loud for 10 to 15 minutes a day burns between 10 and 40 calories per day (depending on the person’s weight). This will translate into losing up to 4 lbs per year!
